Who runs this website?

Archwood Heating & AC runs archwoodheatingac.com from Cleveland, Ohio. This page is about the information that reaches us through the site, on the phone and by e-mail, and explains what happens to it afterwards.

What do you receive from me?

Most of what we hold comes straight from you. Fill in the online form and we get the details you enter, which can include your name, telephone number, e-mail, the ZIP code or full address of the job (when those fields are on the form) and a description of the work. Call or write to us and we get whatever you say or write, along with any photographs or files you attach. A little server data is collected too: our hosting provider logs the IP address, browser type, requested page and time of each visit, to protect the site and keep it available.

What does the chat keep?

We record every chat on the website. A record contains the messages you write, including a name, an e-mail or a telephone number if you give one, and the job you describe; the page you were on and the website you arrived from; an approximate location based on your internet address; the device and browser in use; and a random code your browser keeps for the chat so that your chats can be told apart. The chat may be answered by an automated assistant, for which the chat’s providers process your messages. The record is there so we can answer you, get your work booked and make the chat better.

Why do you need my details?

This is what the information is for. First, replying to you and setting up the job. Second, carrying the work out and following up on it. Third, keeping proper business records, protecting the site and doing what applicable law requires.

Who else sees my information?

Who else may see your information:

  • the companies that host archwoodheatingac.com, handle our e-mail and deliver messages from the online form;
  • service partners who help us respond to you or do the work;
  • public authorities or other parties, when a law requires it or where that is necessary to protect rights or safety.

Do you use cookies or count visits?

About cookies: none are used for advertising or for analytics. Two things may still happen behind the scenes. The hosting company may set a single cookie the site strictly needs to keep it safe, and may also collect anonymous totals of how often pages are opened, counted without cookies.

Is this site intended for children?

No part of this website is intended for children younger than 13, and information from such children is not something we knowingly collect.

How will I know about changes?

This page is updated when needed, and the newest version is whichever carries the latest date at the top.
