About Archwood Heating & AC
A Cleveland heating and cooling company built around finding the failed part before anything gets replaced.
Lukas Colon
Lukas Colon manages Archwood Heating & AC, a heating and cooling company working on gas and electric furnaces, boilers, central air, heat pumps, ductwork and thermostats in houses, two-family rentals and small commercial spaces.
Most of my work is furnace and air conditioner repair, plus replacements when a unit can’t be saved. A visit goes best when I know what the system is doing: a rattle, uneven rooms, a smell at startup. Photos of the unit’s label or the trouble spot, sent ahead, help me bring the right parts.
LukasHow the Company Started
Lukas started the company in 2012 and built the heating and cooling work around one habit: diagnose the actual fault first. A furnace that won’t light because its igniter cracked gets a new igniter. A basement puddle from a clogged condensate line gets the line cleared. Neither one is written up as a new furnace or a new condenser.
That habit matters most in the houses around Cleveland, where a lot of equipment has been patched by several owners over the years. A clear diagnosis tells you whether the problem is one worn part or a system near the end of its life, and that is the decision every homeowner and landlord actually has to make.
When a system is past saving, the replacement is sized to the house and its ductwork. Matching the old unit’s label is the easy way to do it, and often the wrong one: the old furnace may have been oversized from the start, or the house may have new windows and insulation since it went in. The steps of a job, from the first look to the final tests, are laid out under Our Process.

Homeowners, Landlords and Small Businesses
Homeowners call from older brick colonials and double-doubles, where a furnace in the basement and a condenser by the driveway do all the work, and where uneven upstairs rooms and tired ductwork are part of the job.
Landlords with two-family houses and owners of storefronts and small offices call for a different reason: tenants and customers who need heat in January and cooling in July, and someone who can coordinate access across units. The service area runs from Cleveland out to the nearby suburbs, Lakewood, Parma and Shaker Heights among them.
